According to recently published research from International Data Corporation (IDC), worldwide revenue from public IT cloud services exceeded $16 billion in 2009 and is forecast to reach $55.5 billion in 2014. MarketBridge recently polled 1,000 North American small and midsized businesses and found that 70 to 85 percent expect to move major applications to the cloud in the next 12 months.
