Gary has over 30 years in the IT field in Manufacturing, Human Resources, Order Management, Sales and Compensation, and Finance systems. For the last 10 years he has been a Senior Consultant within the SAP platform where he has been customizing the Software to fit the Customer needs for Manufacturing, Human Resources, Manufacturing, Order Management and Finance applications. Industry expertise includes telecommunications, Federal Government, Food and Beverage and Retail. In addition, Gary spent 17 years as a Senior Project Manager and application developer for Nortel Networks.

E. J. Secola

E.J.has extensive pharmaceutical industry experience. His distinguished career spanned 34 years with Pfizer Pharmaceutical. He held positions as both as Sales and Hospital Representative, Assistant Regional Manager, Senior Sales Manager, Lobbyist, and a Senior Long Term Healthcare Consultant. Currently, E.J. utilizes his extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and hospital marketplace to develop sales training programs for pharmaceutical representatives and sales managers. E.J. has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Miami and a Master of Management Degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He also served as an Officer with the United States Army, Intelligence Branch.

David Chapman

Marketing and Public Relations

As Founder and CEO of 919 Marketing, David Chapman brings over 25 years of senior-level marketing and business development management experience to SmartCore. His career path combines corporate and consulting roles, and includes stints as CEO of a national professional services firm, EVP Marketing for the market leader in workforce technology training, and global Account Director for the largest global advertising agency network.

He has developed strong brand-building skills while managing brand development programs for a variety of Fortune 500 corporations, including Caterpillar, Lowe's Home Improvement, McDonald’s, Nabisco Brands, Planters/ Lifesavers, Sara Lee, Time Warner, Unilever and Wachovia Bank.

David has served on the American Marketing Association's Best New Products Awards Panel and is a member of the National Association of Certified Consultants and was selected to the Business Leader Impact 100 list. He has also served as a regularly featured columnist in the American Cities Network of business journals.

Dennis Nagy

Business Development / Executive and Sales/Marketing Management / Software Product Development /International Expansion

Dennis is a thirty-seven-year veteran of all aspects of engineering simulation software and services (CAE), from R&D through sales and marketing management to executive leadership. Prior to joining CD-adapco (New York and London) in 2005 (where he is currently employed half-time as VP of Business Development), he held various executive positions in the CAE world including CEO of VC-backed Engineous (Cary, NC), Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and Support at MSC.Software (Los Angeles), where he build revenues from $25M to $130M, VP of Marketing at Fluent (Lebanon, NH; now part of ANSYS), and most recently VP of International Business Development at Blue Ridge Numerics (Charlottesville, VA).

Earlier in his career, he opened the first German office of Cincinnati-based SDRC (now part of Siemens), was an Assistant Professor at Princeton University, and developed the commercial CAE software system ASKA/PERMAS at the University of Stuttgart's prestigious Institute for Aerospace Structures.

Dennis is an engineering graduate of MIT (BS, MS) and the University of California, Berkeley (Ph.D.)

Claire Cormier

Claire presents with 20 years of experience within the Recruitment and Executive Search industry. Her career spans from working for several large National Search firms as well as regional targeted niche Search firms which lead her to recognize a need in the industry. Claire is the founder of Full Scale Solutions and focuses on combining the best in technology and search capabilities while specializing in providing exceptional talent to emerging growth and established organizations within the Technology and Life Science market.

Claire is known in the industry as a self starter with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to amass resources towards exceeding clients expectations. Previously, she was selected to lead the regional expansion for a National HR Outsourcing and Consulting firm where she was responsible for the strategic direction and growth throughout the Southeast. Claire was responsible for the creation and start-up of a Technology Division for a nationally well known search firm.

She has established a reputation for her boutique approach and exceptional attitude to "do the right thing" which has enabled her to earn the trust of her clients and candidates and is a committed leader in civic and community affairs as an active member of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, North Carolina Technology Association, Women's Healthcare Association and North Carolina Medical Device Organization. Claire has also been President and Membership Director for the International Customer Service Association and Board Member of the Wake County Business Advisory Council. She has been a volunteer for the Women's Center, American Heart Association, BandTogether and she is currently a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister program.
