Bill Elmore is an accomplished operational and financial executive with over 25 years of broad experience primarily in clinical research. His roles as COO, CFO, and Vice President have allowed him to participate at the highest levels in leading several organizations. His experience has included private, public, non-profit, and academic organizations with global responsibilities. He has been the COO and/or CFO in permanent and interim roles and at each organization there were easily measurable accomplishments. Elmore began his career in public accounting at the home office of a large regional firm where he earned his CPA certificate. He left public accounting for controller positions in several industries with broad operational responsibilities. Upon entering the clinical research field in 1990, he has been focused on operations and finances while his organizations grew at annual rates of between 20% and 50%. These organizations had revenue bases between $5M to $150M. His senior positions required very broad involvement in all areas of a research organization - from strategic directions development to implementation of these plans across every department. His roles have focused on business development including proposal approvals, presenting the budgets to potential clients, negotiating the prices, handling all contract issues, financial reporting and projections, and all aspects of operations from staffing to detail problem solving. At every organization, he was also involved in M&A activities covering the identification, valuation, and negotiation of deals. Elmore’s accomplishments and experience has been at high growth organizations that struggle to match the needed resources to match the high growth they experienced. He thrives in this atmosphere and enjoys solving complex problems that usually require a creative approach. His style is to try to build a consensus for the solution in most situations, but can operate very well in a high stakes environment or situation when he must make the decision. He became the go to person for solving problems internally and with clients at his previous organizations. When a major problem develops, it always involves almost every department in the organization and requires someone who can understand the impact of each decision and the risks to the organization.

Elmore earned his BS degree in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a concentration in Accounting. He lives in Chapel Hill with his wife who is an accomplished Medical Technologist that manages a research and clinical lab at UNC in the Pathology department.
